ABOUT

MRSO – Monitor and Review Security Operations is a course designed for security personnel aiming to become Senior Security Supervisors (SSS). In the course, we equip security personnel with the essential knowledge and skills to effectively prepare, monitor and review security operations at their workplace. Participants will also learn how to conduct a site assessment, address security deficiencies, and submit findings and recommendations for improvement. Upon completion, participants will be capable of thoroughly assessing client security status through a comprehensive review of the security system at the deployment site, as well as the performance of their fellow security officers.

This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Security Sector.

In addition to Monitor and Review Security Operations (MRSO), learners must also complete any two of the following courses in order to become a Senior Security Supervisor (SSS):

ASSESSMENT

1. Assessment will be conducted by an independent assessor (examiner) from *POLWEL (*Police Welfare Co-operative)
2. Assessment format: Role-Play and Oral Questions
3. Assessment duration: 2 hours

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

  1. Learners must be aged 18 years or older.
  2. A minimum of primary school education is required.
  3. Candidates must meet the required workplace literacy and numeracy levels, including:
  • Ability to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to or exceeding ES WSQ Level 4.
  1. Candidates should possess relevant assumed skills and knowledge related to security, which cover key points such as:
  • At least one year of experience in the security industry or completion of relevant security modules, including those for Security Supervisors (SS). These modules are part of the Progressive Wage Model (PWM) for the security industry, including the Supervise Security Officers (SUP) module. Becoming a Security Supervisor follows the role of Senior Security Officers (SSO), which comes after the position of Security Officers (SO). This progression is part of the PWM security career pathway.  

Candidates must also complete at least two of the following modules:

2.5 Training Days + 0.5

Attendance requirement

Learners are required to complete the full training duration for each module and sit for the assessment.

Course completion requirements

Learners must maintain 100% attendance and achieve a ‘Competent’ rating in the assessment.

REFUND POLICY

Course Fee refunds has to be made at least 3 working days before course start date. Course fees are non-refundable once your a]endance is confirmed.

Reassessment Policy

Learners who fail to obtain a competent result are required to pay for the reassessment fees and retake assessment within 60 days from the original course date. Otherwise, learners are required to pay the balance of the full course fee if they choose to withdraw from the course.
