SUP – Supervise Security Officers provides individuals with the skills and knowledge to manage security operation procedures at a supervisory level. As part of the Progressive Wage Model (PWM), this module under the Security Supervisor (SS) level equips learners with the ability to plan and direct the deployment of security officers (SOs) according to security operational needs. Participants will also learn to conduct and oversee emergency situations, such as fire incidents. It is a comprehensive course that encompasses all aspects of security supervision, and is considered an advanced certificate module.
This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Security Sector.
The Supervise Security Officer course is one of four modules that qualify for the Security Supervisor (SS) certification. Any senior security officer in the security industry must complete three of these modules to be eligible for promotion to security supervisor under the Progressive Wage Model (PWM). The three other modules are:
- Manage security operation procedures at a supervisory level.
- Plan and direct the deployment of security personnel based on security operational procedures.
- Handle and maintain control of security officers in various scenarios, such as late coming, absence and incompetence.
- Conduct and oversee evacuation and manage other emergency situations, such as fire incidents.
- Maintain health and safety of all security officers at work, ensuring security operation compliance.
- Be deployed as a security supervisor in accordance with PLRD regulations.
- Study security operations procedures
- Oversee the direction of security officers
- Manage security officers supervising control
- Supervise emergency situations
- Ensure health and safety at work
1. Assessment will be conducted by an independent assessor (examiner) from *POLWEL (*Police Welfare Co-operative)
2. Assessment format: Role-Play and Oral Questions
3. Assessment duration: 2 hours and 10 minutes
1. The senior security officer must hold a valid PLRD security licence
2. Must have completed the Senior Security Officers (SSO) courses
3. Trainee must be able to speak, write and understand simple English, as the courses are conducted in English.
Learners are required to complete the full training duration for each module and sit for the assessment.
Learners must maintain 100% attendance and achieve a ‘Competent’ rating in the assessment.

REFUND POLICY
Course Fee refunds has to be made at least 3 working days before course start date. Course fees are non-refundable once your a]endance is confirmed.
Reassessment Policy
Learners who fail to obtain a competent result are required to pay for the reassessment fees and retake assessment within 60 days from the original course date. Otherwise, learners are required to pay the balance of the full course fee if they choose to withdraw from the course.
