Accounting for both training and licensing, new entrants should expect a total of at least two to three weeks before they are deployment-ready.
At the top of the WSQ security qualification ladder sits the Diploma in Security, aimed at operations managers, security executives and those preparing for a Chief Security Officer (CSO) role. The full qualification consists of several modules and is designed for security management professionals who oversee operations across multiple sites or manage in-house security teams.
While specific modules may vary by training providers, the diploma typically covers areas such as quality assurance, incident response, security operation compliance and manpower planning. Because the diploma is modular and commonly pursued by working professionals on a part-time basis, completing the full qualification typically takes over a year, depending on module scheduling, assessment timelines and individual pace.
