ABOUT

RTT – Threat Observation, or Recognise Terrorist Threats is one of the three basic courses for a Security Officer (SO) career. Learners will be equipped with the fundamental skills to identify suspicious persons or activities. They will also learn to take immediate action using proper procedures, including how to respond to bomb threats and deal with unidentified individuals, vehicles, items and substances. KnowledgeTree Training Centre ensures that all RTT classes are practical and relevant to contemporary terrorist threats, so that all aspiring security professionals are proficient in the necessary knowledge, protocols and procedures as they enter the workforce.

NOTICE:

Threat Observation/Recognise Terrorist Threats (RTT) became mandatory for security officers as of January 1, 2020, with the exception of those stationed at warehouses and condominiums.

However, as part of the Singapore Government’s initiative to enhance the professionalism of the security industry and safeguard Singapore from terrorism, all security officers must complete the RTT course before they can be deployed to any site starting July 1, 2023.

ASSESSMENT

1. Assessment will be conducted by an independent assessor (examiner) from *POLWEL (*Police Welfare Co-operative)

2. Assessment format: Role-Play and Oral Questions

3. Assessment duration: 2 hours

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

1. Trainee must be able to speak, write and understand simple English as the courses are conducted in English.

TRAINING DURATION

2 Training Days + 0.5 (In-Person)

Attendance requirement

Learners are required to complete the full training duration for each module and sit for the assessment.

Course completion requirements

Learners must maintain 100% attendance and achieve a ‘Competent’ rating in the assessment.

REFUND POLICY

Course Fee refunds has to be made at least 3 working days before course start date. Course fees are non-refundable once your a]endance is confirmed.

Reassessment Policy

Learners who fail to obtain a competent result are required to pay for the reassessment fees and retake assessment within 60 days from the original course date. Otherwise, learners are required to pay the balance of the full course fee if they choose to withdraw from the course.
