Quality assurance is more than policies and procedures. It is reflected in the everyday decisions Adult Educators make when planning and delivering training, assessing learners, managing documentation and learner information, and responding when situations are not straightforward.
This Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme is designed to help Adult Educators understand not only what quality assurance requires, but also why it matters and how to apply it effectively in real workplace situations.
Through authentic workplace scenarios, guided discussions, practical activities and reflection, participants will explore common quality challenges encountered during training and assessment. They will develop practical approaches to identifying quality risks, upholding assessment integrity, making sound professional decisions, managing ethical issues and contributing to continuous improvement.
The programme follows a practical progression:
UNDERSTAND → APPLY → DECIDE → IMPROVE
The focus is not simply on compliance, but on developing a quality mindset and professional judgement that enables Adult Educators to apply quality principles confidently and consistently in their everyday practice.
The programme is facilitated by Ives Tay, Senior Professional Adult Educator (TAEPP) and Independent Skills & Workforce Consultant with 30 years of experience across Singapore’s Continuing Education and Training (CET) ecosystem. A former Principal Manager and Team Lead with the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA), Ives led accreditation and quality assurance teams supporting standards across the Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) system. He has extensive experience in training provider accreditation, quality assurance, Training Provider Quality Assessment (TPQA), curriculum and assessment, and Adult Educator development. He brings a practical perspective that connects policy, quality requirements and regulatory expectations with the everyday professional practice of Adult Educators.
