ABOUT

PAPP – Perform Security Duties at Protected Areas and Protected Places is a module for security personnel who is scheduled to be deployed at protected areas and protected places. Upon completion, learners will be able to manage visitors’ access to protected places according to regulatory requirements. In addition, learners will gain knowledge in dealing with unauthorised individuals that have entered such premises. Furthermore, learners will also learn how to stop intelligence-gathering activities and seize such equipment effectively.

SYLLABUS

- Manage visitor entry to protected areas and protected places in accordance to regulatory requirements effectively
- Recognise people who are behaving suspiciously at protected areas and protected places accurately and to respond to suspicious behaviour accordingly
- Instruct unauthorised individuals to leave the premises by issuing a move-on order and to deal with individuals who refuse to leave a premise appropriately
- Stop intelligence gathering activities and to seize intelligence gathering equipment from individuals effectively

ASSESSMENT

1. Assessment will be conducted by an independent assessor (examiner) from *POLWEL (*Police Welfare Co-operative)

2. Assessment format : Role-Play and Oral Questions

3. Assessment duration: 1.5 hours

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

1. Must have already obtained a valid PLRD security license

2. Trainee must be able to speak, write and understand simple English as the courses are conducted in English

TRAINING DURATION

2.5 Training Days + 0.5 (In-Person)

Attendance requirement

Learners are required to attain the full training duration for each module and sit for the assessment

Course completion requirements

Learners are required to have 100% attendance and obtain a “Competent” for assessment

All participants to be in long pants & covered shoes.

REFUND POLICY

Course Fee refunds has to be made at least 3 working days before course start date. Course fees are non-refundable once your a]endance is confirmed.

Reassessment Policy

Learners who fail to obtain a competent result are required to pay for the reassessment fees and retake assessment within 60 days from the original course date. Otherwise, learners are required to pay the balance of the full course fee if they choose to withdraw from the course.
