ABOUT

OBSE – Operate Basic Security Equipment is one of the 2 SSO courses for a Senior Security Officer (SSO). Learners will be equipped with the necessary skills to operate security equipment such as CCTV, access control and alarm systems. Learners can also expect to learn who to give access to according to the level of restriction.

SYLLABUS

CE 1: Operate access control equipment
CE 2: Operate alarm monitoring equipment
CE 3: Operate CCTV monitoring equipment

ASSESSMENT

1. Conducted by Polwel

2. Role & Oral Questions

3. Within 30 mins to 90 mins

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

1. Must have already obtained a valid PLRD security license

2. Completed SO Courses

3. Trainee must be able to speak, write and understand simple English as the courses are conducted in English

TRAINING DURATION

2 Training Days + 1 (In-Person)

Attendance requirement

Learners are required to attain the full training duration for each module and sit for the assessment

Course completion requirements

Learners are required to have 100% attendance and obtain a “Competent” for assessment

REFUND POLICY

Course Fee refunds has to be made at least 3 working days before course start date. Course fees are non-refundable once your a]endance is confirmed.

Reassessment Policy

Learners who fail to obtain a competent result are required to pay for the reassessment fees and retake assessment within 60 days from the original course date. Otherwise, learners are required to pay the balance of the full course fee if they choose to withdraw from the course.
