ABOUT

MDCTB – Deterrence, or Manage Disorderly Conduct & Threatening Behaviour is one of two mandatory courses for existing Security Officers (SO) to become Senior Security Officers (SSO). Through the completion of the course, security personnel will acquire the essential knowledge and application skills to manage individuals displaying inappropriate or threatening behaviour, as well as to deter disorderly conduct by providing security protection and visible security presence. To equip Security Officers with the comprehensive and essential skills needed to be a competent Senior Security Officer (SSO) in the security industry, Deterrence / Manage Disorderly Conduct and Threatening Behaviour also includes training on how to report incidents and cooperate with supervisors, the police, and higher authorities in accordance with legal guidelines and standard operating procedures.

- Prepare for work activities

ASSESSMENT

1. Assessment will be conducted by an independent assessor (examiner) from *POLWEL (*Police Welfare Co-operative)

2. Assessment format: Role-Play and Oral Questions

3. Assessment duration: 30 mins - 1 hour

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

1. Must have already obtained a valid PLRD security licence.

2. Must have completed the Security Officers (SO) courses.

3. Trainee must be able to speak, write and understand simple English as the courses are conducted in English.

TRAINING DURATION

2 Training Days + 1 (In-Person)

Attendance requirement

Learners are required to complete the full training duration for each module and sit for the assessment.

Course completion requirements

Learners must maintain 100% attendance and achieve a ‘Competent’ rating in the assessment.

REFUND POLICY

Course Fee refunds has to be made at least 3 working days before course start date. Course fees are non-refundable once your a]endance is confirmed.

Reassessment Policy

Learners who fail to obtain a competent result are required to pay for the reassessment fees and retake assessment within 60 days from the original course date. Otherwise, learners are required to pay the balance of the full course fee if they choose to withdraw from the course.
