XRAY – Conduct Security Screening Using X-Ray Machine is one of the event security courses offered at KnowledgeTree. Upon completion, learners can expect to learn the proper procedure to conduct an X-ray screening on a person’s belongings. Trainees will also learn how to identify various threats such as improvised explosive devices, firearms and knives.
**With effect from 2013, security personnel deployed to carry out screening duties are required to be trained in the following 2 WSQ units:
- Identify suspicious threats and prohibited items when using an X-ray machine.
- Perform the correct procedures and protocols on how operate an X-ray machine to screen a person's bag.
- Look for suspicious and prohibited threats (items) while conducting screening a person's bag and deal with these threats using the proper procedure.
- Be deployed to conduct screening on a person's bag while using an X-ray machine based on PLRD regulations.
- Technique of conducting screening of a person's belongings using an X-ray machine.
- Procedure of handling situations when identifying threats while performing X-ray machine screening.
- X-ray software practice.
1. Assessment will be conducted by an independent assessor (examiner) from *POLWEL (*Police Welfare Co-operative)
2. Assessment format : Role-Play and Oral Questions
3. Assessment duration : 2 hours
1. Must have already obtained a valid PLRD security license
2. Trainee must be able to speak, write and understand simple English as the courses are conducted in English
Learners are required to complete the full training duration for each module and sit for the assessment.
Learners must maintain 100% attendance and achieve a ‘Competent’ rating in the assessment.

REFUND POLICY
Course Fee refunds has to be made at least 3 working days before course start date. Course fees are non-refundable once your a]endance is confirmed.
Reassessment Policy
Learners who fail to obtain a competent result are required to pay for the reassessment fees and retake assessment within 60 days from the original course date. Otherwise, learners are required to pay the balance of the full course fee if they choose to withdraw from the course.
