ABOUT

CSSPB – Conduct Security Screening of Person and Bag, or Security Screening Management, is a SkillsFuture Singapore-accredited events security course at KnowledgeTree for security personnel to acquire knowledge on how to perform security screening of a person at the workplace. Security officers will learn the correct techniques and methods for conducting security screening duty, using equipment such as hand-held metal detectors and walk-through metal detectors. Additionally, learners will also be familiarised with the ways to perform a manual screening, including how to pat down and conduct manual bag search to identify prohibited items.

**With effect from 2013, security personnel deployed to carry out screening duties are required to be trained in the following 2 WSQ units:

  1. (CSSPB) Conduct Security Screening of Person and Bag; and
  2. (XRAY) Conduct Security Screening using X-Ray Machine.

ASSESSMENT

1. Assessment will be conducted by an independent assessor (examiner) from *POLWEL (*Police Welfare Co-operative)

2. Assessment format: Role-Play and Oral Questions

3. Assessment duration: 2 hours

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

1. Must have already obtained a valid PLRD security licence.

2. Trainee must be able to understand, write and speak English as the courses are conducted in English.

TRAINING DURATION

2 Training Days + 1 (In-Person)

Attendance requirement

Learners are required to complete the full training duration for each module and sit for the assessment.

Course completion requirements

Learners must maintain 100% attendance and achieve a ‘Competent’ rating in the assessment.

REFUND POLICY

Course Fee refunds has to be made at least 3 working days before course start date. Course fees are non-refundable once your a]endance is confirmed.

Reassessment Policy

Learners who fail to obtain a competent result are required to pay for the reassessment fees and retake assessment within 60 days from the original course date. Otherwise, learners are required to pay the balance of the full course fee if they choose to withdraw from the course.
